Islamic teachings explicitly tell humanity to uphold the values of Islamic teachings kaffah (total), comprehensive and intact. The purpose of this study is to review Islamic law regarding the practice of pawning rice fields without a specified time limit. The research method used is field research using a qualitative approach. Data collected from interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis used is qualitative analysis. The results of the study show that in the implementation of the agreement it was carried out verbally and there was no authentic (written) evidence that a pawn agreement had taken place between the two, the rice fields that were used as collateral for the debt were managed and fully benefited by the murtahin. The contract on this mortgage also does not mention the deadline for the expiration of the pawn so that the rahin can redeem the rice fields at any time. The implication of this research is the socialization of Islamic law which allows pawning rice fields with an unspecified time limit.
