Abstract

The circular economy is an approach that focuses on efficient resource management, with the principle of reducing, reusing, and recycling goods and materials. In the context of sharia economics, this model can be seen as an application of the principles of sharia maqashid, which aims to protect and improve the welfare of humanity through sustainable and fair management. This article explores the integration of circular economy models in the Islamic economic system, focusing on the application of Islamic eco-financial principles, such as resource efficiency, sustainability, and social harm avoidance. This research also discusses the role of Islamic financial institutions in supporting the implementation of the circular economy, as well as the challenges and opportunities faced. In the perspective of maqashid sharia, the circular economy can provide a solution to the problem of linear economic unsustainability that leads to environmental degradation and social inequality. By using various Islamic financial instruments, such as mudharabah, musharakah, and sukuk, the sharia circular economy can be encouraged to realize sustainable development goals.
