This article discusses the effectiveness of murabahah and mudharabah financing schemes in improving the performance of Islamic banking financing. The main objective of this study is to assess the impact of the two financing schemes on the performance of Islamic banks, which are measured through profitability indicators such as Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE). This research uses a qualitative approach with literature studies and document analysis, as well as collecting secondary data from international journals, books, and reports related to sharia economics. The results show that although murabahah financing is more commonly used in the Islamic banking sector, mudharabah financing tends to be riskier, but has greater potential in increasing its contribution to the real economy. The study also identified key challenges in the implementation of the two financing schemes, including risk management and market uncertainty. As a recommendation, this study encourages the importance of improving risk management and Islamic financial education to strengthen the performance of Islamic banking in the long term.
