Abstract

This article aims to analyze the Islamic economic model based on distributive justice which is a basic principle in achieving social and economic welfare. Distributive justice in Islamic economics prioritizes the fair distribution of wealth in accordance with individual rights and contributions, and seeks to avoid oppression of certain groups. The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis, based on literature review from various international sources related to Islamic economics and distributive justice. The results of the study show that the concept of distributive justice in Islamic economics is not only related to the equal distribution of wealth, but also to the equal distribution of the rights and obligations of each individual in society. In addition, the application of instruments such as zakat, waqf, and profit-sharing systems in Islamic economics shows great potential to reduce economic and social inequality. The implication of this study is the importance of applying the principle of distributive justice in public economic policies to create more equitable social welfare, despite the great challenges in adapting it to the capitalistic global economic system.
