Sharia-based economic development in Indonesia has become the main focus in efforts to improve the social and economic welfare of the people. One of the important concepts in sharia economics is sharia maqashid, which refers to the main goals of sharia to achieve the welfare of mankind in this world and the hereafter. This study aims to explore the integration of sharia maqashid in the measurement of the Islamic economic development index (IPEI) in Indonesia. Using qualitative and quantitative approaches, this study analyzes the role of sharia maqashid in the economic sector and how its application can be measured through social and economic development indicators based on sharia values. The results of the study show that the application of sharia maqashid has the potential to increase economic sustainability, create social balance, and improve the distribution of wealth in Indonesia.
